Andrew Ritchey is a Senior Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer at Modern Hydrogen. His background is in finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics.
Before Modern Hydrogen, Andrew worked for a major jet engine manufacturer simulating chemical vapor infiltration processes as well as the impact of microstructure on the durability of Ceramic Matrix Composites. He obtained a BS in aerospace engineering from Clarkson University and a Ph.D. from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. To date, Andrew holds five granted patents in areas related to machine learning for defect detection and manufacturing methods for ceramic matrix composites.
Andrew’s hobbies away from the office include making and playing music, hiking, camping, and cycling.
